Grilled Sirloin Steak

Aaaallll the way in the back of the meat section at the grocery store, laid a one-pound sirloin steak on manager sale marked down almost 30%! In my opinion, the best way to prepare a sirloin steak is to marinate it, as opposed to a dry rub. This recipe is simple and it yields tasty, tender, juicy results.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 1/4 c Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:

  • In a large freezer bag or large bowl, mix together the Worcestershire, lime juice, olive oil, onion salt, garlic powder, pepper and optional pepper flakes.
  • Marinate the steak for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator.
  • At least 20 minutes prior to cooking, remove steak from refrigerator and allow to set out to reach room temperature.
  • Over high heat, grill steak from 3 to 5 minutes on both sides, to desired doneness.
  • Allow steak to rest for about 5 to 10 minutes, allowing the juices to redistribute.
  • Enjoy!
