Grilled Flank Steak in a No-Steak-Sauce-Needed Marinade

My husband is an A1 sauce addict when it comes to his steak. At dinner tonight, he took the first bite and the words "this doesn't even need A1 sauce" came out of his mouth and I nearly fell over. It grilled perfectly. Seared on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside but the taste is the best part of all. I served this with caramelized onions and mushrooms.

Ingredients:

  • Flank steak
  • 1/4 c Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions:
  • Dock the steak on both sides with a fork.
  • Combine the ingredients in a freezer bag and add the flank steak.
  • Marinate in the fridge for at least 24 hours.
  • Remove meat from fridge and allow to sit for at least 20 minutes to bring to room temperature.
  • Preheat grill to the hottest setting.
  • Grill the steak for 3 minutes on each side.
  • Allow the steak to sit for 5 minutes.
  • Cut against the grain.
  • Enjoy!

  1. Wow, that's high praise from your husband! My husband is also an A-1 addict and he's never uttered those words, so I think it's time to try this recipe!
