Strawberry-Rosemary Lemonade

Take the edge off of those hot, sunny days with a delicious and refreshing Strawberry-Rosemary Lemonade.  The sweet strawberries paired with the fresh taste of rosemary pushes this lemonade over the top.  Happy hour?  Pour in a little vodka and kick off your shoes!

Ingredients:
Yields 2 servings

  • 2 c strawberries, hulled and sliced thin
  • 1 3/4 c water
  • Juice from 1 lemon, about 1/4 c
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • Optional:  Vodka, to taste

Directions:

Place the sliced strawberries, water, lemon juice, lemon zest, honey and rosemary in a 1 quart container.  Stir well.  Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

When you are ready to serve, strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve.  Pour the lemonade into two glasses.  Save the strained strawberries as a garnish for the drinks, if desired.  Stir in the optional vodka, to taste.

Enjoy!
