One Year Ago: Chicken Florentine and Mostaccioli
These are so refreshing and perfect for a hot day like today! I personally love little fruit chunks in my popsicles but my daughter is not a fan, so I strained out the "yucky lumps" for her. It was quite hard getting a decent photo; as soon as they come out of the freezer, they didn't stand a chance! My daughter asked every 15 minutes when they would be done waited as patiently as a 6 year old is capable of and once they were ready, there was about a 2-second interval from the time they left the freezer until the time they entered her mouth. Kids!

Printable Recipe
- 1 pint fresh blueberries
- 1/2 c water
- 1/2 c white sugar
- 2 tsp orange zest
- 1 c grape juice
Process the blueberries, water, sugar, orange zest and grape juice together in a food processor. Press the blueberry mixture through a sieve, extracting as much of the juice as you can.
Pour the liquid into freezer pop containers. Freeze until set.
Enjoy!
Yum! I think my son would LOVE LOVE these and just bought some Popsicle molds the other day. Going to try these out today but i don't have blueberries so I might use strawberries? Should be the same recipe right?
ReplyDeleteThe neighbor kids went crazy over these and they loved that they were homemade! Yes, would be the same recipe but I use apple juice or milk with strawberries instead of the grape juice. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you just have to look at the girls' faces to know these were a major hit! This is a recipe to hang onto for sure!
