Homemade Pie Crust

This is a great tasting, basic and very simple pie crust.

  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 c butter or shortening
  • 5-7 tbsp cold water

  • Place four in a large bowl and cut the butter into the flour (or add shortening).
  • Add salt and water.
  • Mix until dough is formed
  • Roll out on flat surface.
  • Bake about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
