Homemade Blueberry Popsicles

These are so refreshing and perfect for a hot day like today!  I personally love little fruit chunks in my popsicles but my daughter is not a fan, so I strained out the "yucky lumps" for her.  It was quite hard getting a decent photo; as soon as they come out of the freezer, they didn't stand a chance!  My daughter asked every 15 minutes when they would be done waited as patiently as a 6 year old is capable of and once they were ready, there was about a 2-second interval from the time they left the freezer until the time they entered her mouth.  Kids!

Ingredients:
Printable Recipe
  • 1 pint fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • 1 c grape juice
Directions:

Process the blueberries, water, sugar, orange zest and grape juice together in a food processor.  Press the blueberry mixture through a sieve, extracting as much of the juice as you can.

Pour the liquid into freezer pop containers.  Freeze until set.

Enjoy!

  1. Yum! I think my son would LOVE LOVE these and just bought some Popsicle molds the other day. Going to try these out today but i don't have blueberries so I might use strawberries? Should be the same recipe right?

  2. The neighbor kids went crazy over these and they loved that they were homemade! Yes, would be the same recipe but I use apple juice or milk with strawberries instead of the grape juice. :)
