12 Days of (Christmas) Cookies

Well, I have done it now. I have managed to make my holidays even more stressful than usual voluntarily! How, you ask? I have decided to bake one Christmas cookie per day for the first 12 days of December.

I have prepared my list of cookies and they are as follows:
  1. Russian Tea Cakes
  2. Peanut Blossoms
  3. Raspberry Ribbons
  4. Sugar Cookies
  5. Chocolate Truffles
  6. Biscotti
  7. Peanut Butter Cookies
  8. Meringue Cookies
  9. Cocoa Rum Balls
  10. Gingerbread Cookies
  11. Snickerdoodles
  12. Pizzelles (need to find a pizzelle maker, pronto!)
There you have it. I look forward to sharing in this cookie venture with you! This should be fun!

Do you have any favorite Christmas cookies you bake every year?

  1. The 12 days of cookies is such a neat idea! I love these peanut butter balls. I got the recipe from my mom, but you put peanut butter and powdered sugar and roll it into a ball. Dip it in chocolate, and they're ready to eat. So goood. I've been eating them since I can remember.

  5. Kristi, Mmmm! That sounds delicious! You can't go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter!

Kelsey, yummy and fattening lol! :) I'm going to be trying to pawn off cookies to everyone I know so I don't eat them all myself!!!!

Fashion, my mother-in-law offered me her pizzelle maker, so I'm all set and so excited!!

e-Mom, I have never had a Nanaimo bar before. I googled them and they sound YUMMY! Have you posted the recipe on your blog yet?

  6. Wow, that is quite a challenge but I am sure it will make a lot of people around you very happy! Christmas is a great time for cookie making. I am planning to make lots of cookie at once before Christmas and try to make it last until Christmas! Good Luck! Looking forward to seeing all your cookie creations :-)

  7. Mausi, it will be fun for sure! It's funny -- I just got an email this morning from Food Network and apparently they had the same idea. They are doing a 12 days of cookies newsletter lol. I can't wait to see the cookies you post on your site! YAY for cookies! :)

  8. I was actually thinking of doing something similar... I'm so glad I"m not the only crazy one. ;) Can't wait to see all your cookies. There are so many great Christmas cookie recipes out there, it's so hard to choose what to bake.

  9. Sadie, we can be crazy together openly and without excuse :) About 1/3 of the cookies were placed on the list just because my husband specifically asked for them :) I can't wait to see which cookies you end up doing!
