  1. Great question; over/under focuses purely on combined goals (over 6.5 or under, say), making it less volatile than puck lines, which add a handicap like +1.5 goals. For newbies, I'd lean over/under—it's forgiving if you nail team matchups without predicting winners. In the Pacific, yeah, overs hit more with stars like McDavid, but watch for trap games where motivation dips late season. I started tracking via apps and noticed unders spike in divisional rivalries with grudge matches. A resource that clicked for me was this piece on over under hockey betting covering historical data and when to fade public money on overs. It kept my sessions balanced. Experiment with small units first, and blend with props for fun. You trying European leagues too, or just NHL?
